Delamination
Working Armourtech PRO Float into the surface will spread the pozzolanic reaction throughout the top few mm’s of the concrete it is not just sitting on the immediate surface. The goal is to have a more consistent and congruous mix near and at the surface.
Pozzolanic reaction will result in extended workability. This extended workability helps the concrete react in a consistent fashion and also helps the finisher to not overwork the surface.
The reduction in surface water evaporation helps prevent the surface from drying out too fast and thus leaving a crust. The crust on the surface with runny concrete underneath can lead to delamination of said crust.
Reduction or slowing of bleed water still coming to the surface but it is not coming to the surface fast and in one place. It is spread out evenly through the capillary structure similar to how microfibers work. Therefore you will not have large puddles. Puddles, whether they are removed or worked into the surface, will skew the w/c ratio. A surface with too much water may delaminate or flake off prematurely.
The general working of concrete is a big issue with delaminating. Overworking the concrete or sealing it mechanically can cause delamination because pressures will build underneath. The presence of lubrication helps the finisher trowel the surface without overworking thus reducing the chance for delamination resulting from overworking.
